Question #1:

Why do Evolutionist & Religious people, and most people belive in gaps in there doctrine/books/beliefs?

A fact is a truth that is not a variable and without change under any circumstances. You CANNOT base a Fact off an assumption, guess, hypothesis and etc. All TRUTH is proven with in itself and logic.

I never understood Why evolutionist believe so faithfully in something with so many gaps and NO blunt evidence that can be clearly defined and presented as a fact? Why do evolutinst think that evolution is not considered a fact, please don't say religious people that is wrong? What are you missing, and you believe in the missing part... what if science discovered something that proved evolution wrong, would your ideas changed........or facts change? Science is ever growing and there 'facts' have changed so much, its ridiculous to have faith in it, rather to just leave it all as a theory and assumptions.

I asked my teacher in my science class when she was teaching this stuff as FACT, how can you tell how old a fossil is? the answer she gave me is stupid. Just like you can't look at a humans features and body and guess how old they are and be roughly exact, you can't do that with anything on earth... and you can based a fact off an assumption. I was told you can guess the age of a fossil by comparing the soil around it, or comparing other things around it or comparing it to other fossils. If that is true, than that is the dumbest thing I have ever heard of. Thats like looking at my mother and guessing her age, her doctor thought she was younger then me, her son, by her condition, and how she look, little do they know according to her drivers license she is double plus some my age.

I want to see something in evolution, and natural selection tested and proven true, if you CAN'T, stop believing in it until you see it, why think about it further, i don't understand. Prove that this fossil is connected to this species, not by assumptions but blunt fact. Prove that nature slected the surivival of these types of species, because as far as I'm concerned nature has still provided for animals that don't have the same abilities as others. Explain why the finches with smaller beaks came back to the ones that had been 'natural selected'?

Explain how logical it is for a man 10 zillion years ago to pick up a book and called it a fact, cuz it says its a fact (bible), explain why Christians relive in a BLUNT, FACTUAL, manipulated book that has been changed BEFORE the king James version. I can go all day with religion people and they know there own gaps, because no way a person should go to church with a rapist and say they are there for god, when there book they believe from god says don't mix in with them, and have a obvious justification from a manipulated book that they have faith in enough to judge other to hell, before god can and have a right to do so. or ist PERFECTLY logical that my pet cat who has a soul, isnt going to heaven or hell, but my soul has an option. Isn't it much better being a cat Christians don't have to worry about sin, heaven or hell? <<< or should I be selfish and desire more then the cat, cuz that how I have no option or choice and have to choose to do 'god's way' or go to hell, cuz he made me have to make the decision cuz he is loving enough? WOW... i'm done.

What is the name of this disease, that is plaguing our earth?

Question #2:

Which degree will give me more options in the future? History, Geography or English?

Ok so I'm 31 and starting an access course in September which is based on humanities. I want to be a teacher but if that didn't work out I want to have a degree that will give me more options in the future. I equally enjoy history and geography (physical rather than human). I am probably gonna do a combined degree of either history or geography with english. I am choosing to combine with english as I am thinking it will help me better as a teacher as I'm told geography and history teaching jobs are hard to come by? I feel that if I did a geography Bsc combined with english as a minor (which i can do) then the whole "science" degree thing will fair me better in getting a teaching job as I would possibly be able to teach a science which is more in demand than geography or english? On the other hand I really enjoy history but feel that unless I teach it then it may not be as valuable a degree? What do you think?

I have to bear in mind that I'm not 18 and haven't got the time to change my mind an do another degree in a few years. Last chance saloon as they say!!!

Question #3:

Why do you think so many people choose to remain ignorant and deny proven science like global warming?

Why do people claim it's a hoax while only backing up their arguments with sources that originated from big oil?
Don't even get me started on the "natural cycle" or "falsified data" retards.

Question #4:

Is China the most technologically advanced country in the world?

The 2007 statistics show China with a technological standing of 82.8, compared to 76.1 for the United States, 66.8 for Germany and 66.0 for Japan. Just 11 years ago, China’s score was only 22.5. The United States peaked in 1999 with a score of 95.4.

The method is a bit mind-bending, but still more impressive is the output: 300 megabits per second of random data, blowing a 100-megabit record set by American scientists using a different method earlier this month clean out of the water. Which means the U.S. will now have to top the Chinese to stay ahead in the encryption game, setting up a competitive back-and-forth that should make true Cold Warriors wistful for the good old days.

Clearly they didn't steal your technology, since they have many technologies that the USA does not have and the hold the world record for # of bits for quantum computers, world record for quantum noise and world record for quantum teleportation.

Question #8:

There is absolutely no proof that global warming exists so why do so many people believe this lie?

Why would anybody make up something like global warming though, well there are a few big reasons for it. According to Americanpolicy.org “those who have been fighting against the green agenda have been warning that modern-day environmentalism has nothing whatsoever to do with protecting the environment. Rather it’s a political movement led by those who seek to control the world economies, dictate development and redistribute the world’s wealth.”

Just because one politician (Al Gore), who is not qualified in any way to make over half of the statements he makes on global warming, says that it exists and that we need to act now doesn't mean it's the truth. Many times the statements that Al Gore has said have been proven false.
Example. At the climate gate conference in Copenhagen he claimed that his scientist had said that all the world's glaciers would be melted in 5 years. Later that same scientist came out and said that he never said that the glaciers were going to melt in 5 years and that he was just throwing out numbers. Al Gore blatantly lied.

Not all scientist agree with the global warming theory. 500 scientist from around the world signed the Heidleburgh Appeal in 1992 expressing their doubts of global warming. Today there is over 4,000 scientists that have signed this. Also a recent Gallup Poll of North American climatologists shows that 83% of them believe that the global warming theory is not true.

The scientist that haven claimed to prove global warming (which if they were true scientist they would know that nothing in science is fact everything is just theory). These scientists are usually funded by the government to prove Global Warming not to find the facts (because then they would lose that government funding). Global warming has never actually been proven as a fact it has just been portrayed that way by the media and by politicians that way

According to Meteorologist Al Gore’s Global Warming is the Biggest Myth of the Century by News Busters.org “You will find that there are five greenhouse gases. The most plentiful is water vapor making up 35 to 70 percent of all greenhouse gases. Mankind’s total contribution to all greenhouse gases — this includes cars, trucks, manufacturing plants, boats, planes and any pollution producer you can name — the total is less than 1 percent. Mother Nature provides the other 99 percent.” Commercial growers actually deliberately produce CO2 to improve productivity because plants grow better with more CO2. Ummm and hello we need CO2 to breathe and it is essential for ALL life on earth!!!

Melting glaciers please!!! Warm currents are the only things that melt the polar ice caps the atmosphere warming by a few degrees would not melt any glaciers. According to What Alarming Sea Level Rise? Observational Data Reveals No Change, Scientist Says on Fox News.com “In a new scientific paper, Nils- Axel Morner, former emeritus head of the paleogeophysics and geodynamics department at Stockholm University in Sweden, says that observational records from around the world – locations like Maldives, Bangladesh, India, Tuvalu and Vanuatu – show the sea level isn’t rising at all.” Alarming sea level rise across the globe that was said to flood coastal cities by the rising waters from the melting polar ice caps is completely false. Morner’s research was done at a total of 159 stations and showed that the maximum of 3 millimeters of sea level rise and many coastal cities showed no rise at all.

What people don't seem to realize about the polar bears is that they have survived for thousands of years and the earth has been much much much warmer than it is right now, so i think they will be fine. Even Al Gore’s movie couldn’t find real video of a polar bear threatened by a lack of ice- they had to create a computer animation of a poor bear swimming in an ice-free sea.
I love it when ignorant people call me ignorant even though i've done more research on global warming than any of you even realize. The evidence that i have stated above is only a fraction of what i actually know it would just take way to much time to type up.

Question #9:

How does it differ from the science of Psychology itself ?

Question #10:

How To Improve My Act/Sat Scores?

This year I would have been a senior at a high school in New York City. I dropped out of my junior year of high school with a 98.9% GPA. A few months ago I finished my G.E.D. and will be attending community college this fall. I want to transfer to a good college in New York City (NYU, Hunter, etc). My only problem -- sometimes I score really badly in standardized tests.

I took the ACT and had a overall score of 17.
English: 20
Mathematics: 17
Reading: 15
Science: 14

SAT score:
English: 780
Math: 340 (TERRIBLE!!!)

I am DEVOTED in changing my scores around this fall so I can go to a good college. I did try tutors last year but they didn't work very well (everything just went in one ear and out the other). Do you guys have any tips (good books, study habits) I could use to achieve these goals of mine??? I won't stop! I won't stop!

Question #11:

What do you think about Friedrich Nietzsche famous quote from The Gay Science, "God is dead. God remains...?

dead. And we have killed him. How shall we comfort ourselves, the murderers of all murderers? What was holiest and mightiest of all that the world has yet owned has bled to death under our knives: who will wipe this blood off us? What water is there for us to clean ourselves? What festivals of atonement, what sacred games shall we have to invent? Is not the greatness of this deed too great for us? Must we ourselves not become gods simply to appear worthy of it?"

Question #12:

Is it possible that the following shows could have episodes on every or nearly every man made object?

Is it possible that the shows 'how it's made, factory made, deconstructed, and modern marvels' on the channels the History Channel and the Science Channel could have episodes on every
or nearly every man made object? I've been on Science Channel.com and they've got
thousands of suggestions for how it's made, but could that eventually reach the point
when all four of these shows have to reuse material for their shows?

Question #13:

Becoming a Veterinarian (10 points)?

Hey guys. I have been wanting to become a Veterinarian ever since I was a young child, probably when I was in junior kindergarden. I loved animals, I just loved looking at them, touching them, they're just so beautiful. As I started to grow up I had more experience with animals such as guinea pigs, hamsters, fish, etc and I actually did a lot of research, meaning about their care and stuff. I am a big hater of animal cruelty and I just want to help these animals. I know becoming a veterinarian is super hard and I live in Canada. I am going into grade nine next year, and I know this is my chance to shine in my academics. In elementary I was pretty slacky, I got 60,70, and 80's in math and 70 in science but I know I need to do a lot better. What marks do you think I should aim for in highschool? I am not that good at math, but I am going to be giving it my all. Thanks.
Tori, please.. I'm looking for serious answers. And I said Veterinarian not Vegetarian.

Question #14:

what makes a college essay stand out?

i want to do something different, i was thinking of sending 1 or 2 pictures of my art work and science club activities.

or should i keep it simple and make it like everyone else

Question #15:

The universal speed limit: the speed of light?

Science question for GS: Cosmologists say that the speed of light cannot be broken (nothing can move through the cosmos faster than that)...but there is an exception to the universal rule: that at the moment of the Big Bang, matter flew apart faster than the speed of light...and, the expansion of the universe right now is also moving faster than that. So do we really know everything there is to know about all the laws of physics? Do you think we could be wrong (or missing information) with regard to some of the laws we commonly accept as truths? What about new physical laws- do you think we'll discover more of them over time?

Question #16:

The Ninth Commandment?

Thou shalt not bear false witness against thy neighbour. (Exodus 20:16) (Also known as perjury)

Lying about evolution, the big bang, and science are bearing false witness against the people responsible for those scientific theories lands you in hell for breaking a commandment.

Am I right?
Anyone who lies in their answer will also subsequently end up in hell. Way to go!

Question #17:

Currently in college- Substitute Teaching worth it?

I'm at University right now. I have been studying Psychology the past two years and recently switched to Family and Child Science since Psychology severely lacks enough child classes. I want to be an elementary school counselor and plan to get my MA after undergrad. In my state you don't have to be a teacher first in order to be a school counselor.

But I thought substitute teaching, as close as I can get without becoming a teacher, would be good experience for my job later as a school counselor. Plus picking up some extra cash would be ideal. I'm taking an intro to teaching course next semester (that includes school volunteer work) and hope to get a recommendation through that in order to apply to be trained as a substitute teacher partway through the semester. The requirements to be a sub in that county are 60 hours of college, an employee reference, and their training.

1) Would substitute teaching be a valuable experience in my case?
2) Do teachers choose young inexperienced subs off the list?
3) Next semester I have class two days a week, would my limited days pose a problem?
4) Would this allow me to pick up minor work in schools over the summer? Like temporary tutoring or aid work?
5) They ask for an employee reference through ereference, what is ereference?

Thanks so much.

Question #18:

Can I get into a graduate program in Philosophy?

with a bachelors in Political Science?

I would just change my major but that would entail transferring to another school. I am minoring in Philosophy if it counts for anything.
Also, should I get my masters first or try and go straight into a Doctorate program?

Question #19:

Someone is telling me that Steven Hawking is NOT the guy who played Superman?

It is common knowledge that Stephen Hawking, the original Superman, got in a horse riding accident and as a result of his injuries could no longer act and instead dedicated his life to science, eventually becoming one of the worlds most respected physicists. Someone is trying to tell me that this is not the case and I'm thinking of two different people. Where do you stand on this issue?

Question #20:

VAMPIRES!? What's your take?

Does anybody really know? As a fact, there is no hard proof they exist. But there's also no proof they don't..Even science has no idea. This subject has confused scientists and modern people all over the world. What do you think about it? I want your proof that they either do or do not exist. People can have their own opinion. I want to know why you have the opinions you do.
